Set Time Aside - You will get the greatest benefit from your studies if you do a little bit every day - rather than binge once a week (spiritual food is much like physical food). Try to set aside the same time every day.
Beware of the Enemy - "It is written: "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4) The enemy will certainly attempt to keep you from living a victorious Christian life and from growing on the truth of the Word. Be prepared for the attack and don't let it stop you.
Feeling Ovewhelmed? - Studying the Bible for yourself can be intimidating at first. We want you to succeed, so if you are stuck, frustrated, discouraged or don't know how to proceed - please ask for help. We are ready and happy to help you.
Don't Quit - If you don't get your homework done, please come to class anyway. There will still be many insights you can pick up from the class discussion. Persevere - He is worth it; and we are sure you will find the rewards well worth your effort.
