Ever since Jesus promised His disciples that He was going away to prepare a place for them but that He would return to take them to be with Him, believers have waited eagerly for this event to take place.
The Rapture has been our blessed hope as we have experienced times of difficulty, sorrow and distress as well as times of blessing, health and peace. Our chief desire and longing has been to be with our great God and beloved Saviour Jesus Christ.
However, the Rapture has become one of the most controversial topics among Christians today. It seems that many who used to believe in it have abandoned that conviction even though it looks like we are living in the last days.
This summer we hope to, not only cover the biblical teaching on the Rapture but also give some thought to why it is hoped for now by ever fewer Christians.
